Labor Day

The weather today is absolutely amazing. The summer seems to be speeding by, so just wanted to remind everyone of our Labor Day picnic, which will be held on September 30th from 5:30 to 7:30. Our special Jack Daniel's cask wood is ready and waiting to smoke those mouth watering ribs, chicken and beef brisket -- yummy! Also, on the menu is a caper potato salad, our own recipe for corn salad, navy beans, parsley and scallion salad, and of course, Mrs. Boyer's famous baked beans, plus other salads and brownies for desert.

However, if you can't make it to the picnic or that weekend, we do have availability during the week before labor day. So take advantage of the amazing weather that is found on Cape Cod -- don't always listen to the weatherman, as we are 40 miles out to sea and our weather does differ from Boston.

So take that last summer fling and we will see you at The Whalewalk Inn & Spa.

Orleans Historical Society Events Celebrated at the Whalewalk Inn & Spa

May 24th

The Orleans Historical Society will have their Antiques and Flea Market Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend. Professional Appraisers will be on sight for $5.00 an appraisal, so it will be just like the Antiques Road Show -- right here near the Whalewalk Inn & Spa. The hours are from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. So book for Memorial Day weekend, bring your treasures (maybe you will find some at the historical society) -- and, of course, on Sunday we will have our "smokin' barbecue". Make your reservations, as rooms are starting to fill up.

June 14th

Try our Granola Pizza topped with fresh fruit, especially strawberries, as we help celebrate Orleans Strawberry Festival. If you didn't have enough at breakfast, enjoy the harvest of the first fresh fruit of the season at the Orleans Historical Society's annual Strawberry Festival. Munch on homemade strawberry shortcake and quench your thirst with fresh lemonade, while listening to live music and shopping at the extraordinary plant sale and festival boutique. Call 508-240-1329 for details and reservations.
