The Hyannis Golf Course is great fun with some quite hilly lies to challenge your abilities. Then there is Blue Rock, rated as one of the top Executive Courses, has 4 challenging water holes -- actually got my first par on hole number 9 there. Blue Rock Golf Course

Blue Rock is meticulously maintained and measures 3,000 yards from the professional tees. Holes range from 103 to 255 yards, with the ninth as Blue Rock's signature hole. At 169 yards over water to a kidney-shaped green, this hole was named one of Cape Cod's 18 best. Blue Rock’s Academy of Golf, led by PGA Professional Patrick Fannon, uses the latest technology, including P3Pro Swing Analysis, to accelerate learning, monitor student progress and help them understand their swing.

Labor Day Weekend on Cape Cod

Pack your bags for the traditional last weekend of summer -- although Cape Cod weather is amazing throughout all of September (bright blue sky, clean, clear air, high 70 days, low 60 nights). This weekend we are having our Labor Day Scavenger Hunt and first prize is a two-night stay in our Carriage House 5 or 6 rooms -- depending on availability. Summer theatre has been great. Just went to see Noises Off at the W.H.A.T. and it was delightful. Had dinner at Winslow's Tavern before the play and it was very tasty. The berry desert with berry sorbet was delicious. Also, had girls night out with our daughter and daughter-in-law at Abba Restaurant, and it was fabulous as always. I had the lobster Pad Thai. The Godiva Martini is to die for -- can only drink just one.
