Wine Lover's Festival

June 1 - 4, 2008

Join us at the Whalewalk Inn as we celebrate the first annual Cape Cod Life Food and Wine Festival. You can attend all the festivities and settle back at the Inn for a relaxing stay.

As part of your stay you can shop and buy your favorite wines at The Windmill Liquor Store. They offer a 20% discount on case sales -- and the best part is that you can mix your choices to fill the case -- champagne also may be included.

During our hors d'oeuvre hour we will feature appetizers made with wine --Goat Cheese Crisps with a Mushroom Madeira Ragout, Baby Portabellas stuffed with Proscuitto and Vermouth, Dry White Wine Marinate Pork Skewers, and Mescal Drunken Shrimp. See you at our own mini-wine festival at the Inn.

Here is what is offered by Cape Cod Life Magazine:

The first annual Cape Cod Life Food & Wine Festival scheduled for Sunday, June 1st through Wednesday, June 4th. Sneak down to the Cape and enjoy four food and wine filled days, or pick and choose from the festival’s bounty of events to design your own indulgent Cape escape.

TV Diner’s Billy Costa hosts the Grand Opening on Sunday, June 1st from 3:00-6:00pm at the Rectrix Aerodrome in Hyannis. The event, tickets for which cost $50 apiece, features local talent from Twenty-Eight Atlantic and Willowbend Country Club as well as guest chefs Gabriel Frasca and Amanda Lydon of Nantucket’s Straight Wharf, Todd Winer of The Metropolitan Club, Peter Eco of Stix and 33 Restaurant, and Dante de Magistris of dante.

If you can't make it to the Grand Opening event, twenty-eight Atlantic is just down the road from the Inn. We will be happy to make reservations for your own wine tasting and dinner event.
